For Clare, true riches were not found in money or possessions. Her greatest treasure was Jesus Christ.
Other women were inspired by her example. As a result, a community grew around her. This community later became known as the Poor Clares.
The sisters devoted themselves to prayer, simplicity and living according to the Gospel.
St. Clare and St. Francis of Assisi
